Cagliari is easily accessible thanks to the Cagliari Elmas airport, located 7km northwest of the city to which it is connected by local public transport.
The most convenient (and cheap) way to reach the center is by train operated by Trenitalia. The train station is only a 5-minute walk from the airport and is easy to locate by following indications. Tickets can also be easily bought on the Trenitalia App or through the website (from Elmas Aeroporto to Cagliari). Please check carefully the train direction on the electronic board. Note that there may be two stops in Cagliari, the final destination of the train brings you directly to the city center
The city has its own local bus transport service operated by CTM SpA , tickets can be also bought on the BusFinder app and itineraries can be also efficiently verified in Google Maps. Most of the buses start just in front of Cagliari train Station .
